Girl Mom

Although I am slightly terrified a little nervous about being a "girl mom," I have already thought of a million things I'm excited about hopefully** sharing with Leighton!!! They include:

  • Shopping trips
  • Possibly my wedding dress—if she wants it (EEEEEK, just the thought!)
  • My shoe collection (I'll save the really good stuff for her and have it resoled)
  • My wardrobe (Only the really good stuff. I wish I had a killer vintage closet!)
  • Mani/pedi dates
  • Spa days
  • Prom dress shopping
  • Lilly Pulitzer
  • Some of my special jewelry (Branner will get some, too)
  • Hairbows
  • Books from my childhood (ie: Little House on the Prairie, Babysitter's Club)
  • American Girl dolls (I had Samantha; my mom saved her!)
  • A bond like my mom and I have

**I say hopefully because, with my luck, she will probably hate all of these things, but a mom can wish!

    This made me tear up! A mother/daughter bond is like no other. You are going to have so much fun with Leighton as she grows (oh law, I cant even think about it!) into a young woman.
    So excited for you to have her here :)
