Teething (boo!), Rolling Over (yay!)

Hanging out, cutting a tooth

Over the past several weeks, we have noticed increased levels of fussiness, drool and pooping for Branner. He is definitely cutting a tooth or two. While this is very challenging because Branner has never been a fussy baby, it is also sad and exciting. Our sweet boy is on his way to completing another milestone--getting his first tooth. It's sad because he is growing up so fast and exciting because we are progressing on our journey to see who exactly Branner is and what his personality will be.

And speaking of milestones, Branner completely rolled over for the first time yesterday! I was so excited and happy that I was with him to experience one of his many "firsts." It makes me very thankful that I am able to stay at home with him right now and that I do not have to miss out on a thing! We happened to be at Barry's office when he did it for the second time, so Barry got to experience the excitement as well! Diaper changes are becoming increasingly difficult, though, because he tries to roll over every time I put him on the changing table!

Growth Spurt

Best. Daddy. Ever.

Worn out!

Sleeping machine!

Branner is going through ANOTHER growth spurt! Seriously, our child does not slow down. Today, he has been eating and sleeping like it's his job. We are in the midst of nap #4 as I type this. I am so curious to see what his height and weight are when we go back to his pediatrician for his 4 month visit. He's going to plateau soon, right??? If not, NFL, look out!

Jumperooooo!

Big kiss from Bailey!

Hmmmm...what is this thing?

Excuse me, what is this lion doing?

Playing away!

For reasons unknown to Barry and I, Branner has decided that he does not enjoy his swing anymore. In fact, he screamed bloody murder everytime we tried to put him in it recently. So, today we moved him up to a more "big boy" form of entertainment...a jumperoo activity center. He really enjoyed it and all of the activites it provides! RIP swing, you will be missed.

Nap Time

Sweet Dreams

Mommy's favorite time of day! Branner is really starting to get on a good (in my opinion) sleep schedule! He has settled into napping for 1-2 hours about an hour and a half after he wakes up. He also goes down for about 3 hours in the afternoon. While he's peacefully sleeping, I'm running around the house like a maniac trying to finish up on the many things that need to be done, but never quite marking everything off my list. "I'll get to it tomorrow" has become my mantra of sorts.

On another note, Branner is 15 weeks old today! Who is the big boy in the picture clutching his lovie and where did my baby go? I cannot believe how fast he is growing up! Barry and I are trying to hold onto every moment with our precious little man!

Busy Bees!

Tummy Time!

Barry, Branner and I have been busy bees lately! Barry has been in Ohio and Arkansas on business in the last two weeks, so Branner, Bailey and I have been spending a lot of time in Asheboro (especially at Dish'n). I am tired of being a nomad! I am looking forward to putting the suitcases away and being at home for a long stretch--if you consider 2 weeks a long stretch. These days, I do!

Branner continues to be a constant source of joy for Barry and I. He will be 15 weeks old tomorrow! He is "talking" and laughing up a storm and is able to hold himself up when sitting on our laps. He also likes to pull up on our hands to stand on our laps. He is a strong little boy! We are so lucky to be his parents!

Branner's First Beach Trip

Daddy's big boy

Out to dinner

We are just in from Branner's first beach trip! We, along with my family, were at Holden Beach for a few days to attend the wedding of Margaret and Kent Beck. We had a great time! While it was too cold and windy to take Branner out on the beach or boat this trip, we took long walks with Gigi, had a great lunch at the Provision Company (our favorite), had a great time at the wedding and saw lots of friends!

We will have plenty of time to do more beach and boating activites in the future because while we were there, my parents bought a house! We are so happy that Branner will grow up with great beach memories and can't wait to go back. We plan to become Holden Beach bums!

3 Months Old!

Where have the last three months gone? It feels like only yesterday we were bringing our sweet baby boy home from the hospital! As of Friday, Branner is 12 weeks old and we can't believe what a big boy he is. He started sleeping through the night at exactly 11 weeks (10:30-6:30). He is really "into" his hands and feet and is starting to enjoy playing with some of his small toys. He is thisclose to rolling over. He still loves his swing and vibrating chair. He enjoys our long walks, shopping trips (usually with Shana and Carter), cooing, baths, being read to, laughing at Barry and I being dorks, lunching with the girls, visiting Barry at work, visits from his many minions (Gigi, Big Papa, Uncle Blake, Uncle Brett, Aunt Jen and Uncle Trey) and going out to dinner on Friday nights. Barry and I are loving every minute of being parents!!!

...And We're Off in the Morning!

Resting up for the big trip!

The time for our beach trip is finally here! After double, triple and quadruple checking our list, packing, baking and last minute shopping trips, we are finally (almost) ready to roll in the morning. Branner is wearing his boat onesie in honor of his first boat ride tomorrow. He already has his first life jacket ready to go! Can't wait to feel the sand between our toes and to celebrate with Margaret and Kent!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter, everyone! We hope you had a great day!
