Picture Day
{via}
Today was picture day at Branner's school! I am so excited about seeing the proofs! His teacher, Ms. Vivian told me that he wasn't really smiling in the pics but that they are beautiful. I hope she's right!
We got B all dressed up in a tractor longall and new shoes for the big day. My friend, Lauren, had a Shrimp & Grits Kids trunk show a few months back, and we ordered two longalls. B's Christmas outfit last year came from them and I cannot say enough about how great Shrimp and Grits is! The quality, the pricing, the fit: all amazing. I highly recommend this brand if you are looking for some adorable (and Southern to a "t") clothing for your little one--girl or boy!

18 Month Pictures
In case you're interested, Branner's 18 month pics can be viewed here. Considering the mud incident and tantrum throwing involved, I think they turned out nice!
I have professional pictures documenting a public outburst. How real can you get?!
Also, after using about half of a bottle of Shout, a Clorox pen and almost 2 hours of my day, the outfit was salvaged. Now, I just need the mud to come out of my maxidress/peasant skirt...

Attempting 18 Month Pics
This morning, we met Angie from AC Studios at Latta Park for Branner's 18 month picture session. OOOHHHH, MY! What an interesting session we had! It started out great; B was playing in the park looking absolutely adorable in his (brand new) special outfit. Then, he noticed the sprayground and wanted to check it out. While exploring outside, he fell in a huge mud puddle and black, yucky mud got all over the butt of his jon-jon and all in his shoes. So, we changed him into his bathing suit and attempted to get a few more pics. We'll see how they turned out. Angie says there are a few good ones, and at this age, that is really all I hope for. We didn't get any family shots this time, unfortunately, but I'm just going to be happy with the shots we did get. Gotta roll with the punches when you have an almost 19-month-old!!!

15 Month Pics
I just got the pics from Branner's 15 month shoot back, and I am SO HAPPY with them. Not that I'm surprised, because Angie at AC Studios always does a wonderful job (and brings great props/bribes)! Click here if you're interested in seeing them!
Editor's note: I was just looking through again, and I totally look pregnant in some of the early family shots even though I definitely am NOT. Lesson learned on wearing a flowy top in pics!!!!

New Camera

After 7 months of not-so-great picture taking due to a camera that just couldn't capture Branner fast enough, we bought a new camera! I love it! If you have children, a higher-grade camera is a "must". Expect to see an obnoxious amount of pictures on here in the future. I am snapping more pictures than I know what to do with these days. The next step will be enrolling in a class so I can learn the inner workings of the Rebel. I am currently winging it and would really love to know how to operate it correctly!
